Developed by Experts at UCLA’s MARC, Mindfulness at The UCLA Family Commons brings balance and harmony to the families of Santa Monica with special programs here at our center. With different classes and workshops tailored specifically towards children or adults, practitioners engage in thoughtful stress-reducing exercises to increase emotional flexibility, develop compassion, improve focus & calmness, and strengthen overall awareness. Our Mindful Awareness lessons have a very down-to-earth approach and the practices can easily be adapted to an individual’s life – truly improving their overall well-being.

The practice of mindful awareness can guide students to improve relationships, create relaxation and calmness soothe the self, increase memory, enhance focus, reduce stress, manage reactions and emotions, increase self-acceptance, and feel more at ease with test taking.
